ABOUT ME
My name is Simon Mackmurdie. I am a recent graduate of the University of Otago, where I completed a Bachelor of Applied Science, majoring in Design for Technology and minoring in Marketing. I have had a love for drawing and design since I can remember. My time at the University of Otago challenged me to think outside the box which I hope to transition into my art. I want to draw and design characters and worlds and things that make people say, “hey that’s cool”

LOGO DESIGN, OTAGO HOSPITAL SURGICAL DEPARTMENT
2015
I was commissioned to design a logo for the Otago surgical Department. Many different designs were done until a final one was chosen.
RETAIL WORKER, THE BRAND OUTLET
January 2017
i worked retail selling cosmetics and perfumes at a pop up shop. I had to interact with customers as well as assist in setting up the shop and then removing it.
TMP DESIGNER, ACCOUNTS, TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT LTD
May 2017 - Current
I do traffic Management Plans and also invoices for a traffic management company in Dunedin. I have also helped the company to design a new website, logos, stickers and document layouts.

Graduated From the University of Otago with a Major in Design and a Minor in Marketing. My time at the University allowed me to work on many different projects relating to design.
